Hi, I'm Suzanne and I'm a stay at home mother to three. I have started my own vintage furniture business and am writing this blog to document its journey from idea to reality. My favorite things include my Matthew, Ella and Sophie, my handsome husband and all things PAINT! Believe me, I am not an experienced business person but I do know how to sand, strip, paint and am a DIY queen, so please follow along as I navigate the ups and downs of The Painted Drawer. Provence Blue Curves and Charm

A few "before and after" pictures of my full of curves and charm dresser!  I am waiting for my husband to help me move it into our house so I can take a better shot of it for Etsy.  I couldn't wait to show it off on my blog so please excuse the total mess in the background and surroundings - way too yucky for this French beauty to be photographed in :)

This dresser has gorgeous curvy drawers that glide in and out and have been freshly lined today by my mother (she is my official "liner").  The top has been sanded down and then waxed to show off its original grain.  I really love that look of the natural top on the larger dressers.  The color is ASCP Provence - LOVE - and the hardware is all original.  The little drawers in the middle are so sweet and give it that extra touch which makes it so lovely.  I hope you like it too!  It will soon be listed on my Etsy shop - whenever it manages to make it inside and the sun is shining so I can take a few good pictures!

I always forget to take the "before" shot until after I have started working on it - always!

The top shows all the curves on this piece

OK, here it is inside my house with better light.  This is a better shot of the blue :)
I really love the top on this one.

  1. The paint used, was that Annie Sloan's actual Provence Blue or did you use the Lowe's Valspar Provence Blue?

    Thanks!
