About Me

My photo
Hi, I'm Suzanne and I'm a stay at home mother to three. I have started my own vintage furniture business and am writing this blog to document its journey from idea to reality. My favorite things include my Matthew, Ella and Sophie, my handsome husband and all things PAINT! Believe me, I am not an experienced business person but I do know how to sand, strip, paint and am a DIY queen, so please follow along as I navigate the ups and downs of The Painted Drawer. Please join in the fun and become a member or subscribe. Cheers!

A Beautiful Find

This post is all about beautiful things.  Lovely things. Things that make you pause for a moment and enjoy.

My latest beautiful find is this lovely, curvy, french side table.  Can you imagine my joy when I found this?  I knew it would be transformed with a coat of paint.  Oh, how I love!

My beautiful table...

What detail in this piece.  The curves of the top and bottom, the curves of the drawers, the grill, the gorgeous old pulls, the carving in the wood - ooh la la!

And here is a beautiful house, in which I imagine my little french table...

within this beautiful room below, where it would fit like a glove...

and it certainly merges in with the beauty below...

sigh!

Here is my very sweet farmhouse table.  It is very old, with wheels on its feet and three leaves that extend it to a large size.  It is not fancy or curvy and the leaves are quite plain and some would probably not find it beautiful - but I do!

I am constantly looking for beautiful things to add to The Painted Drawer.  I hope to have more to share with you next week!

In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful time of year!
