Sophie's Spindle Bed

I woke up one morning last year and the first thing that popped into my head were the words "The Painted Drawer".  After all these years, the idea to turn my love of paint and vintage finds into something.

My mother and I used to spend countless hours at estate sales.  This was when estate sales were actually fun and there were still deals to be had.  I find them all a little pricey these days.  I bought this sweet little spindle bed about a decade ago at a house sale with my mother. I spent a few days painting it on our back porch and made it my little Sophie's bed...

When I painted this little bed the only way to have advertised it was a print ad in the local paper.  I had not even heard of Craigslist!  Now, of course, we have social media and online selling.  How lucky are we for the ability to wake up, have an idea for a business pop into our head and get it out there!

To advertise and grow and have it become something real. It is what I hope for The Painted Drawer and I thank you all for reading this and helping me along the way :)
