Faded Farmhouse Charm and Harpers Ferry

The Painted Drawer...faded farmhouse charm.  What do you think?  I am busy coming up with ideas for my new logo design.  It pretty much sums up the "look" that I adore.  All of my pieces would fit perfectly in a gorgeous old farmhouse.  Not necessarily french or scandinavian, cottage or beach -  just any farmhouse, anywhere!

My latest projects, the vintage sunburst chest of drawers and this lovely old chair I reupholstered in burlap, are quite "faded farmhouse"...

Honestly, other than completing the above projects and spending the day on Thursday at Lucketts, I was not able to concentrate on The Painted Drawer.  No-school days, an eight year old with an ear infection and a Girl Scout camping trip pretty much kept me busy.  We camped in Harpers Ferry, WV.  Love the historic old town!

Tents and sleeping bags, a campfire, smores, ghost stories and a three hour white water rafting trip down the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers has left me a little tired :) Very, very fun and such a wonderful experience to share with my daughter.  The scenery we enjoyed was just breathtaking...

My Ella is on the left with me behind her.  Oh, how I wish she could remain eleven years old forever!
