Wow, the Lucketts Spring Market was really fun! It was great to meet so many talented and interesting people. There were tons of fantastic items to buy and much for me to learn. I can see why people arrive from all over the country to shop there.
I spent Wednesday getting my things ready to take over the following day to be a part of the Stylish Patina's space. My father and I loaded up my car on Thursday morning and I spent that day traveling to Lucketts and back. I had to race home in time for my seven year old's Brownie outing to a chocolate store and so I was more than exhausted by the end of the day!
I ended up selling my french country shelf - told you all it was gorgeous - and the prettiest blue drop-leaf table. The other items that didn't sell are back at the Stylish Patina Barn for next month's sale :)
Amy picked up her beautiful oak dresser and it is happy in its new home. I just loved the glass pulls on that one. Michelle's little blue table is done and I am now at work on Mary's desk. She will be thrilled to see it. I am really happy with the way it is turning out in Old White! A true transformation. I still think it is pretty cool to see a piece of slightly boring furniture turn into something good!
Another VERY exciting piece of news is that I am going to be consigning my furniture to Celeste from Catfish Creative Furnishings and it will go into the store On a Whim! This is a wonderful shop in Lucketts. I can't wait to get started on the first piece - a stunning french country dresser that I plan on painting in French Linen (so appropriate). I will post a picture soon. It has curves galore and is going to be a lot of fun to work on. I am still pondering how to paint the extremely curvy and carved little dresser I purchased a few weeks ago. I need to come up with some kind of plan and go from there. It typically takes on a life of its own once I get going!
I have so many pieces to work on and am excited to get going! Talk to you all next week!
