About Me

My photo
Hi, I'm Suzanne and I'm a stay at home mother to three. I have started my own vintage furniture business and am writing this blog to document its journey from idea to reality. My favorite things include my Matthew, Ella and Sophie, my handsome husband and all things PAINT! Believe me, I am not an experienced business person but I do know how to sand, strip, paint and am a DIY queen, so please follow along as I navigate the ups and downs of The Painted Drawer. Please join in the fun and become a member or subscribe. Cheers!

    1. Hi Gail,
Sorry I'm so late to respond - no power for a week and then a beach weekend :) I actually use UShip and have been really pleased with the service. They provide very competitive quotes and the shippers that I have used so far have been on time and extremely reliable. I used Greyhound to ship a coffee table and was also really impressed with the quality of their service. I did, however, have the table professionally wrapped at UPS (which cost more than the shipping) but the buyer paid for it and it arrived safely so was good.

Thanks for looking at my pieces and for the positive feedback!

  9. Your pieces are beautiful Suzanne! I really love the french country blue dresser. Do you remember what type/color of paint it was?

  10. Hi! Thanks so much for your sweet comment! The paint color is actually a Sherwin Williams color called Danube. I had them color match it for me at Home Depot into a Behr paint. I actually do still paint in latex sometimes :)
